There are roughly 37,000 homeless veterans in America at any given time. That equates to 8% of all homeless Americans nationwide. These are men and women that have served and fought in conflicts ranging from WWII all the way to the most recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. None of these men and women should have to return to a life on the streets. That’s where we come in.

Nationally, 75% of homeless decedents are male.
Veterans are at a 53% higher risk of suicide that non-veterans.
An estimated 60,000 Veterans died by suicide between 2008 and 2017, without any sign of the crisis abating.
There is a causal relationship between homelessness and risk of suicide.
The Point-in-Time (PIT) count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January.
"COVID-19 impacted data quality and analysis in several ways for the 2021 PIT Count. First, HUD-approved changes to the survey length for the unsheltered count significantly curtailed the amount of information obtained about this population."
